West Alajuela - Costa Rica

We had hosted a club from Alajuela in Manchester a few year before but this was the first time our club had visited Costa Rica. The West Alajuela club showed us some of the huge variety of attractions their country has to offer. When we returned home we began to prepare for hosting the Costa Rican club of Turrialba in June 2019.

    A bus tour took us up into the clouds to the edge of a volcano.

    It was chilly high up in the mountains but the view was spectacular.

    On our day-trip to the beach we crossed the Tarcoles river and saw many crocodiles.

    We spent a relaxing day at on the Pacific coast. We could swim in the ocean or the hotel's pool.
