Belgian Coast

Our visit to the Belgian Coast club coincided with a heatwave across Europe. We visited many cities during our stay including Bruges, Oostende, Brussels and Ghent. Each day our hosts provided us with a professional tour guide and an excellent lunch. We enjoyed the warm hospitality of our hosts and the cool Belgian Beer.

    We took a canal tour around the city and had a delicious steak lunch in the town square, washed down with some fine Belgian Beer.

    We visited the city the day before Belgium got a new King.

    This city was once known as the "Second Manchester" because of its textile industry.

    We visited many memorials to those killed in the Great War. We attended the evening ceremony at the Menin Gate. At the going down of the sun we remembered them.
